In 1974 while painting in Albuquerque NM, I saw a performance by the Alvin Ailey Dance Company. It changed my life direction instantly. I spent the next 10 years studying dance and preforming until my right knee decided that it had enough.  I studied and performed with the Minnesota Dance Theater, Eugene Ballet, Oregon Repertory Theater and Halby Dance Theater.  Drawing and painting is my responsibility to my craft handed down from my father.  Although short lived, dance was my love.  It left an unmistakable mark on my drawings of the figure.
